Duracoat Alkali Resistant Primer

Duracoat Alkali Resistant Primer is a high quality water based acrylic copolymer primer intended for use on masonry surface to minimize unsightly white salts or "efflorescence" migrating through the applied coating system. The primer forms a barrier over alkali substrates limiting the reaction with atmospheric Carbon Dioxide thus reducing the formation of unsightly white deposits or "efflorescence" on the surface typically associated with coating of highly alkaline fresh masonry.

Surface preparation

All new surfaces must cure at least 7 days before applying Alkali Resistant Primer
Surface must be clean, dry and free of dust, dirt, efflorescence, or excess water.
Any surface cracks or holes should be raked out and filled with Duracoat Internal & External Skimcoat
Treat surface for moulds and algaes if present with Duracoat Fungicidal Wash.
Remove any powdery dust and efflorescence.
