Surface preparation

All surfaces to be painted must be clean, dry and free from dusts, grease or any loose material.
Galvanised roof: Clean new surfaces with Duracoat White spirit thoroughly. Ensure that the surface is completely clean and dry. Apply one coat of Duracoat Etching solution.
Rust if any should be sanded to bright metal.
For previously painted surface, loose paint, chalk and dirt should be removed by scrapping, sanding and cleaning with water before applying
Granular tiles, asbestos fibre cement tiles, Clay tiles: For new and previously painted surface in good condition, remove dust, dirt, loose granules, friable and powdery material by scrubbing with hard bristle brush and water. Allow surface to dry.
