Speech by the General Manager of Basco Paints, Mr. Aseem Doshi during the auction night of Mombasa Premier League help on 18th May 2022 at Waris Kizingo, Mombasa

Look to your left. Now look to your right. One of your seatmates will smile back. Ladies and gentlemen, it gives me pleasure this evening to address the Coastal region during this special auction night in preparation for the great upcoming cricket tournament. We are indeed honoured to be associated with Mombasa Premier League and I can assure you this partnership is just the beginning of our long-term journey together to nurture and promote talent within this region and beyond. It’s always important to invest in the young talent and the talents of tomorrow.

Basco Paints prides itself in similar CSR programs that impact and touch lives positively and for good.

Some of our CSR activities worth mentioning are as follows:

• 8-4-4 Scholarship Programme- This is a fully sponsored scholarship for marginalised students that is advertised on newspapers.


• Duracoat Textured Training Centre- The comprehensive course that is held free of charge for participants attracts an array of female students, thus, dispelling the myth that commercial painting is a man’s job. The Centre attracts a variety of students from beginners, painters, freelancers, freshers, artists, sign writers, interior designers, employees of corporate organisations, and even architects. Not only does the training improve the skills and knowledge of the participants when it comes to matters of paint but also most importantly it equips them with the skills that they will use to earn a living.


• Beautification of Learning Institution- Donation of paints to learning institutions across the country to give the schools a face lift.


• Feeding Programme- Donation of food to marginalised areas, especially during Covid period.


• Children’s Homes CSR Initiative- Donation of food to various children's homes
